Independent Planning Bhavan to Give New Direction to Parbhani’s Development: Guardian Minister Meghna Sakore-Bordikar

Foundation Stone Laid for Planning Bhavan Building

Parbhani, March 2026 : The foundation stone for the construction of the Planning Bhavan building to be built within the premises of the District Collector’s Office was laid today by Minister of State for Public Health and Family Welfare, Water Supply and Sanitation, Energy, Women and Child Development, Public Works (Public Undertakings), and Guardian Minister Meghna Sakore-Bordikar.

Considering the rapidly growing population of Parbhani district and increasing administrative requirements, there was an urgent need for an independent Planning Bhavan. This building will provide a new direction to the future development of Parbhani and accelerate the district’s overall growth, the Guardian Minister said on the occasion.

The event was attended by District Collector Sanjaysingh Chavan, Superintendent of Police Ravindrasingh Pardeshi, Chief Executive Officer Natisha Mathur, Municipal Commissioner Nitin Narvekar, Additional District Collector Shobhadevi Jadhav, Resident Deputy Collector Anuradha Dhalkari, and District Planning Officer Umesh Waghmare.

Guardian Minister Sakore-Bordikar said that a well-designed Planning Bhavan building for the district will soon take shape. It will provide modern and well-equipped office space to the District Planning Committee, the District Planning Officer, and concerned departments. This will enable more effective planning of district development plans, budget allocation, project evaluation, and implementation.

The introductory address was delivered by Executive Engineer Prashant Kore. Officers and staff from various departments were present at the programme.
