Delegation from Kandaghat meets Chief Minister

A delegation from the Kandaghat area of Solan district under the leadership of Health Minister Dr. (Col.) Dhani Ram Shandil met Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, here today. The delegation requested that the Kandaghat Nagar Panchayat be denotified and converted back into a Gram Panchayat.

The Chief Minister assured them that the government would sympathetically consider the proposal to restore Kandaghat as a Gram Panchayat.

On this occasion, in the gracious presence of the Chief Minister, the former Pradhan of Gram Panchayat Srinagar Kandaghat and senior BJP leader Gurvinder Singh joined the Congress party along with around 50 supporters, expressing their faith in the policies and programmes of the Congress government.

They also thanked the Chief Minister for accelerating the pace of development in the area.
