Better Coordination Ensuring Full Support from Union Ministries: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited Union Ministers in New Delhi on Thursday and discussed matters related to the interests and development of Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav interacted with electronic media representatives after meetings and stated that his visit to New Delhi was very successful. He said that due to better coordination with various ministries of the Union Government, Madhya Pradesh is receiving full support in obtaining approvals for several schemes. Meaningful discussions were also held regarding the implementation of ongoing welfare programmes with the cooperation of the Central Government, as well as projects that will be beneficial in the future. The concerned ministries were also informed about Madhya Pradesh’s leading performance in implementing several beneficiary schemes of the Union Government.
Meeting of Agriculture Ministers from Various States to be Held in Madhya Pradesh
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed that a joint meeting of Agriculture Ministers from various states will soon be held in Madhya Pradesh to discuss ways to strengthen the agriculture sector. The meeting will focus on important issues related to farmers’ welfare, including the role of Krishi Vigyan Kendras and the use of agricultural technologies.
Discussions on Agriculture and Rural Development Schemes
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that discussions were held with Union Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan on increasing farmers’ income and strengthening the agriculture. He also briefed the Union Minister about the Krishak Kalyan Varsh–2026 being observed in Madhya Pradesh and the Farmers’ Welfare Campaign being implemented with the cooperation and coordination of 17 departments. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed that, along with the successful implementation of the Bhavantar Scheme for soybean farmers, approval has also been sought to extend its benefits to mustard farmers.
Discussions were also held on establishing 55 tur dal processing units in the state. The meeting also discussed measures by the Government of India to increase the area under oilseed cultivation and further strengthen procurement arrangements for pulses. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that discussions were also held with the Union Ministry of Panchayati Raj and Rural Development regarding support for the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana and other rural housing schemes.
Discussion with the Union Finance Minister on Financial Management
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed that he also met Union Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman to discuss financial management. During the meeting, information was shared regarding targets and achievements under various schemes in the current financial year, and discussions were held on the financial assistance required for the state.
Financial arrangements required for the works related to Simhastha–2028 and other important projects were also discussed.
Discussion on Irrigation Projects
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also met Union Minister for Jal Shakti Shri C.R. Patil. He informed that the Central Government has approved two inter-state river linking projects in Madhya Pradesh—Ken–Betwa and
Parvati–Kalisindh–Chambal (PKC). Each project will receive financial assistance of about ₹1 lakh crore. He said that Madhya Pradesh is progressing rapidly in the irrigation sector. Detailed discussions were also held with the Union Minister regarding the projects and agreements with neighbouring states Gujarat and Maharashtra under the Narmada Valley irrigation schemes. Discussions were also held on expanding the reach of tap water supply through single-village and group water supply schemes, as well as on resolving pending payments related to various projects.
Citizens Should Not Worry; Black Marketing Will Be Prevented
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that in view of the current war-like situation in the Middle East–Asia region, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Ministers are fully alert. He assured citizens that there is no need for concern, as both the Central and State Governments have made complete arrangements to prevent black marketing. He added that citizens will not face any difficulty regarding the availability of cooking gas.
