The sacrifice of Martyr Sanjay Yadav will remain indelible in the history of Chhattisgarh: Shri Vijay Sharma
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma unveiled the statue of martyr Shri Sanjay Yadav at Shaheed Sanjay Yadav Government Higher Secondary School, Sanjay Nagar, Tikrapara, Raipur.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma said that the sacrifice of martyr Sanjay Yadav will remain indelible in the history of Chhattisgarh. He said that the fight against Naxalites is a fight to save democracy. We all are indebted to those who sacrificed their lives to protect democracy. He said that it was due to the better education of the family members of martyr Sanjay Yadav that they went ahead to make the supreme sacrifice of their lives.
Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sharma also said that the government of Chief Minister Mr. Vishnudev Sai will build a memorial for all those martyrs who have sacrificed their lives to protect democracy and society. This decision will be a symbol of our gratitude towards the brave sons of Chhattisgarh.
It is noteworthy that martyred head constable Shri Sanjay Yadav was born on 21 March 1974 in Tikrapara, Raipur district. His mother’s name is Mrs. Shyama Bai Yadav and father’s name is Shri Baratu Ram Yadav. A brilliant and disciplined student since childhood, Sanjay Yadav received his primary education from Nutan Government School, Tikrapara and Khalsa School, Raipur.
Shri Sanjay Yadav joined Raipur Nagar Seva on 04 September 1998 and served for 07 years. In 2005, he joined the post of GD constable in Rajnandgaon district and served in the police department. In 2008, due to his excellent work and breaking the Naxalite network, he was promoted to the post of head constable by giving him out of promotion.
On 12 July 2009, martyr Sanjay Yadav, along with the then Superintendent of Police, martyr Shri Vinod Choubey, attained martyrdom while displaying indomitable courage during a Naxalite encounter in Korkatti under Madanwada police station Mohla in Rajnandgaon area.
