Iran Warns Neighbours Over ‘Facilitating Attacks’, Rejects US Ceasefire Claims

March, 2026 : Iran has issued a sharp warning to neighbouring countries, accusing them of aiding attacks against the country and demanding that they clarify their positions immediately, as tensions in the region continue to escalate.

Seyyed Abbas Araqchi said that any country allowing its territory or facilities to be used for strikes on Iran is effectively contributing to civilian deaths. He alleged that hundreds of civilians, including more than 200 children, have been killed in ongoing attacks carried out by Israel and the United States.

In a post on X, Araqchi claimed that some neighbouring nations hosting US forces and permitting operations against Iran are “actively facilitating this massacre.” He urged these countries to make their stance clear without delay, saying the situation demands immediate accountability.

The warning follows Araqchi’s earlier rejection of remarks by US President Donald Trump, who had suggested that Iran was seeking to reach an agreement with Washington. Dismissing the claim as “misleading,” the Iranian minister said Tehran has not sought negotiations under current conditions.

He stressed that Iran’s military operations would continue until what he described as an “illegal war” is acknowledged and halted. According to Araqchi, the conflict should end in a way that prevents any future attacks on Iran.

“When we say we do not seek a ceasefire, it does not mean we want the war to continue,” he explained. “It means the war must end in such a way that the enemy never considers aggression again.”

Araqchi also accused Iran’s adversaries of attempting to force the country into “unconditional surrender” by using their full military and political strength. However, he argued that after more than two weeks of conflict, those same adversaries are now seeking help from other nations, including some they previously viewed as rivals.

He pointed to growing international efforts to secure shipping routes in the Strait of Hormuz, suggesting that Iran’s opponents are turning to global partners to stabilise the situation.

Clarifying Iran’s position, Araqchi said restrictions in the region apply only to countries directly involved in the conflict or supporting hostile actions, indicating that neutral nations would not be affected.

His remarks underline the deepening geopolitical tensions in the region, as both military action and diplomatic disputes continue with no immediate resolution in sight.
