New Delhi, March 2026 : Delhi Chief Minister Mrs. Rekha Gupta on Saturday felicitated 56 meritorious youths who cleared the Civil Services Examination at the ‘Delhi ke Gaurav: UPSC Achievers Felicitation Ceremony 2026’, held at the Mukhyamantri Janseva Sadan. During the event, the Chief Minister interacted with the qualifiers, learning about their experiences, struggles, and journey to success, while extending her best wishes for their bright future.
 
Organized for the first time by the Delhi Government in collaboration with the Revenue Department, the ceremony also saw the presence of the candidates’ parents—a move lauded as a commendable new initiative by the state. The CM engaged with the family members to understand their perspectives and emotions regarding their children’s achievements. Chief Secretary Shri Rajiv Verma, Divisional Commissioner Shri Neeraj Semwal, and other dignitaries were also present at the occasion.
 
The Chief Minister remarked that through their relentless hard work, discipline, and unwavering determination, these youngsters have not only brought pride to their families but to the entire city and the nation. She emphasized that this achievement is not merely a personal success but a significant step toward nation-building.
 
Addressing the gathering, the CM stated that these newly selected officers will serve as the backbone of the country’s administrative system and will play a crucial role in taking developmental schemes to the person at the last mile of society. She added that their dedication, struggle, and spirit of service will serve as a source of inspiration for future generations.
 
The Chief Minister clarified that the Civil Services should not be seen merely as a means to gain authority, but as an opportunity for purposeful service. “Real change is only possible when authority is coupled with a sense of purpose,” she noted.
 
Vow to bolster Delhi’s Education Model
 
The Chief Minister affirmed that the Delhi Government is continuously working to make the capital’s education system more robust, inclusive, and competitive, ensuring that a significant number of IAS, IPS, and other officers emerge from Delhi every year. She stated that the government aims to create an academic environment where every student has access to quality education, proper guidance, and the necessary resources for competitive exams.
 
Mrs. Gupta further mentioned that the ongoing reforms in the education sector are not limited to exam success but also aim to instill leadership qualities, sensitivity, and a spirit of service in students. Reiterating the government’s commitment, she said the goal is to ensure that no talented student is left behind due to a lack of resources.
 
Dialogue with Youth: Integrating experiences into Policy Making
 
During the program, the Chief Minister discussed preparation experiences, challenges, and suggestions with the 56 selected candidates. She stated that the insights of the youth serve as a guide for the government and will be incorporated into policy-making to provide better opportunities for future generations.
