Revanth Reddy Boosts UDF Campaign in Nemom, Targets Vijayan with Fiery Remark

Thiruvananthapuram, April 2026 : Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy injected fresh energy into the Congress-led UDF campaign in Kerala’s crucial Nemom constituency on Wednesday, leading a high-voltage roadshow in support of party candidate K.S. Sabarinathan.

Addressing enthusiastic crowds from atop his campaign vehicle, Reddy delivered a sharp political message aimed at Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who is seeking a third term. Borrowing a famous dialogue from Malayalam superstar Mohanlal’s film Narasimham, Reddy said, “Nee po mone Dinesh, nee po mone Vijayan – your time is over,” drawing loud cheers from supporters gathered along the route.

Reddy is no stranger to Kerala politics. He played an active role in campaigning during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, where the Congress-led UDF registered a sweeping victory by winning 18 out of 20 seats. During his current visit, he held multiple street-corner meetings, urging voters to support the Congress and strengthen its fight to uphold constitutional values and counter the BJP.

UDF candidate K.S. Sabarinathan welcomed Reddy’s presence, stating that his campaign had significantly energized party workers and boosted morale on the ground. He emphasized that the contest in Nemom represents a larger battle for secularism, development, and constitutional principles. According to him, a UDF victory in the constituency would send a strong political message across the state.

Senior Congress leader Deepa Dasmunsi, AICC General Secretary in charge of Kerala, also joined the campaign, underscoring the importance the party leadership places on the Nemom seat.

The constituency is witnessing a high-stakes triangular contest. The BJP has fielded its Kerala unit chief Rajeev Chandrasekhar, while the ruling Left Democratic Front is backing sitting MLA and Education Minister V. Sivankutty.

With intensified campaigning from all sides, Nemom is shaping up to be one of the most closely watched battles in the upcoming Kerala elections.
