Asha Bhosle is widely regarded as one of the most influential and versatile singers in Indian music history. She began her journey at a very young age, recording her first playback song for the 1943 Marathi film Majha Bal. Over the decades, she has lent her voice to countless iconic songs that continue to resonate with audiences. Her remarkable contributions have been recognised with numerous prestigious awards. She received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2000 and was honoured with the Padma Vibhushan in 2008. Additionally, she has won seven Filmfare Awards for Best Female Playback Singer, along with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Apart from singing, Asha Bhosle also explored acting and appeared in the Marathi film Mai in 2013. She is also known for her passion for cooking, which remains one of her personal interests beyond music.

As she undergoes treatment, admirers across generations are hoping for her speedy recovery.
