Lucknow, April 2026 : The heat has begun to intensify in Uttar Pradesh. As temperatures rise, electricity demand also increases. Keeping this in mind, the Yogi government is on alert mode. Following the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited, Dr. Ashish Goyal, has directed officials to remain vigilant and ensure complete preparedness so that uninterrupted power supply can be provided to all during the summer.
He also instructed that all necessary precautions be taken to prevent transformer failures.
Dr. Goyal said, “Adequate funds have been allocated for transformer maintenance. Instructions have already been issued to install fuses and tail-less units on every transformer. Despite this, if transformers burn out, strict action will be taken.”
