Prayer Ceremony Held at Parashurama Temple on Akshaya Tritiya

Lucknow, April 2026 : On the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya and Parashurama Jayanti, a prayer ceremony was organised at the Parashurama Temple located in Srinagar Colony by the North Mandal Four unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

The event featured traditional rituals and prayers dedicated to Parashurama. Participants also took a pledge to follow his ideals and values. During the programme, attendees were made aware of the importance of religious and cultural traditions, along with the need to strengthen moral values in society.

Speaking on the occasion, Mandal President Shailendra Maurya said that the life of Parashurama symbolises the fight against injustice and the establishment of righteousness, and continues to serve as a source of inspiration for society today.

Several party members and local leaders were present at the event, including Mandal General Secretary Vinod Awasthi, Mandal Minister Geetesh Mishra Rahul, Ashok Dwivedi, Sunit Tiwari, Parashuram Awasthi, Nainshu Mishra, Umesh Chandra Mishra, Umakant Shukla, Anuj Bajpai, Puneet Mishra, and Ansh Dixit.

Also in attendance were Pramod Awasthi, district president of the Lucknow Brahmin Parishad, and Ashok Shukla, along with other distinguished members of the community.

The programme concluded with the distribution of prasad among attendees, marking the end of the ceremony on a devotional note.
