Vietnamese President Arrives in Mumbai; Governor and Chief Minister Extend Welcome
Mumbai, May 2026 : President and General Secretary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, To Lam, arrived in Mumbai on an official visit to India on Thursday. He was welcomed at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport by Maharashtra Governor C. P. Radhakrishnan.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Protocol Minister Jaykumar Rawal, Chief Secretary Rajesh Agrawal, Director General of Police Sadanand Date, Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti, Mumbai City Collector Anchal Goyal, along with other dignitaries, were also present to receive the Vietnamese leader.
During his one-day visit to Mumbai, President To Lam is scheduled to meet leading industrialists and business leaders from Maharashtra. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will also hold discussions with him during the visit.
Later in the evening, Governor C. P. Radhakrishnan has organised a reception ceremony at Lok Bhavan in honour of the Vietnamese President and his delegation.
President To Lam is expected to depart from Mumbai later tonight after concluding his engagements in the city.
