Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai Announces Major Development Projects for Karhibazar and Several Villages

Raipur, May 2026: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has made significant announcements aimed at accelerating infrastructure and development in rural areas. During a programme held in Karhibazar village of Bhatapara development block, the Chief Minister gifted several development projects worth lakhs of rupees to the region, including community buildings, road networks, and school infrastructure. These initiatives are expected to benefit not only Karhibazar but also several surrounding gram panchayats.

Special focus has been given to strengthening infrastructure and education in Karhibazar. A grand community cultural building will be constructed at a cost of Rs 25 lakh to facilitate social and cultural events for all sections of society. In addition, a cement concrete (CC) road worth Rs 25 lakh will be built from Sukalu’s house to Siddha Baba Marg to improve connectivity and convenience for villagers.

In the education sector, the Chief Minister announced the construction of new school buildings at the Higher Secondary School in Karhibazar as well as in Kodva. This move is aimed at providing students with improved educational infrastructure and a better learning environment in rural areas.

Beyond Karhibazar, the Chief Minister also announced a series of development works for several nearby gram panchayats. A mangal bhawan (community hall) will be constructed in village Bitkuli at a cost of Rs 20 lakh. To strengthen rural connectivity, CC roads worth Rs 10 lakh each have been sanctioned for gram panchayats including Kothmi, Mopka, Koni, Borsi, Kodva, Patan, and Rampur.

Following these announcements, a wave of enthusiasm has been witnessed across the rural regions of the Bhatapara development block. Local representatives and villagers have expressed deep gratitude to the Chief Minister for prioritising basic infrastructure such as roads, buildings, and educational facilities.

Residents believe that the completion of these projects will significantly transform the appearance of villages and make daily life easier for rural communities. They also stated that these initiatives will improve connectivity, enhance educational opportunities, and support overall socio-economic development in the region.
