Chhattisgarh is the best state for investment – Industry Minister Shri Dewangan
Chhattisgarh Commerce and Industry Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Dewangan today participated in the “Udyog Samagam” conference held in New Delhi. The event was organized under the chairmanship of Union Commerce and Industry Minister Shri Piyush Goyal, in which Industry Ministers and representatives from all the states participated. Industrialists, entrepreneurs and investors from across the country participated in this conference, in which major issues related to trade, industry and economic development were discussed in detail.
On this occasion, Shri Dewangan mentioned the huge investment potential in Chhattisgarh and the steps taken by the State Government to promote business activities. He highlighted the efforts being made by the Government for industrial development and employment generation in the State. Also, he reiterated the State Government’s commitment to better policies and infrastructure development to attract investors to the State.
He informed that the State Government is providing many special schemes and facilities to encourage industries, which will not only lead to economic development of the State, but will also create new employment opportunities for the local youth.
Minister Shri Dewangan said that Chhattisgarh is emerging as the best place for investment. The state is among the major mineral producing states. There is a favorable environment for setting up industries here. A new strategy has been formulated to provide all facilities to new industries in the state. He said that financial incentives and exemptions are also being given to increase investment in the state and to promote industries.
He said that Single Window System 2.0 has been launched under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, due to which businessmen starting new industries will not have to face any kind of problem. Apart from this, the new industrial policy of the state will also come into force from November 1, 2024. The new policy is being prepared under the guidance of the Chief Minister keeping in mind the convenience of entrepreneurs.
During the conference, the representatives of the industry present showed keen interest in investing in Chhattisgarh and considered the possibilities of investing in the state in future. Secretary of Industries Department Shri Ankit Anand, Investment Commissioner Ms. Ritu Sen, Executive Director of CSIDC Alok Trivedi were also present in the program.
