Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh flagged off the Ullas Literacy Chariot

Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh today flagged off the Ullas Literacy Rath under the Ullas Navbharat Literacy Program at Padmashree Govindram Nirmalkar Auditorium, Rajnandgaon. The Ullas Literacy Rath will visit all the development blocks of the district and make citizens aware of literacy.

The centrally sponsored scheme Ullas Navbharat Literacy Program on education for all in the society recommended by the National Education Policy 2020 has been implemented. This scheme has five components namely basic literacy and numeracy, important life skills, basic education, practical skills, continuing education. A nationwide literacy week is being organized from 1 September to 8 September 2024 to attract the attention of the public towards the Ullas Navbharat Literacy Program and to create awareness among all sections. The Ullas Navbharat Literacy Program is a series of activities of the week-long literacy campaign. This event is being organized in all educational institutions along with the district, block, urban and gram panchayats.
