Chief Minister Dr. Yadav to honor tribal students in Khalwa
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will attend the higher education promotion and felicitation ceremony of promising tribal students at Khalwa in Khandwa district on 8th September. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will honor selected students going abroad for higher education, including those who have returned after completing their studies abroad, benefiting from the Foreign Study Scholarship Scheme of the State Government. On this occasion, Minister of Tribal Affairs, Public Assets Management and Bhopal Gas Tragedy Relief and Rehabilitation Dr. Kunwar Vijay Shah will also be present.
Since the start date of the State Government’s Foreign Study Scholarship Scheme, a total of 70 students have been selected for foreign study. Out of these students, 5 students will be honored in the Khalwa ceremony including Shri Saurabh Singh of Bhopal district (selection year 2018-19) and Shri Lokesh Padgil of Indore district (selection year 2021-22). Both these students have returned after completing their studies abroad. Saurabh Singh has completed a year-long MBA Global Marketing course from the School of Business of Hotel Management, Switzerland. Lokesh Padgil has done a year M.Sc. Marketing course from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, United Kingdom (UK). Both students have returned home after completing their studies. Similarly, the Chief Minister will also honor two students of Indore district, Shri Bharat Chopra and Lawrence David. Both students have been selected for foreign study this year.
Due to the special efforts of Tribal Affairs Minister Dr. Kunwar Vijay Shah, promising student Shri Asharam Palavi, who is going to London for foreign studies, will also be honored. Asharam from Garbedi village of Khandwa district has been selected for foreign studies this year. The state government has sanctioned Rs 35 lakh as scholarship to Asharam, who overcame extremely difficult circumstances and continued his studies. Asharam will now complete his M.Sc. course in Geographical Information Science at the University of Leicester, London. Asharam is the first student from his village who will go abroad to study.
Bunty Wadiva, winner of Rs 50 lakh in KBC, will also be honoured
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will also specially honor Shri Bunty Wadiva, a tribal youth from Asadi village of Betul district. Bunty Wadiva, about 27 years old, gave correct answers to many questions with his sharp intelligence in KBC-16 and won Rs 50 lakh. Bunty is also involved in social service work by teaching primary class students of the Tribal Ashram in his village.
