CM Vishnu Dev Sai will launch ‘Ullhas Literacy Campaign’ on International Literacy Day on September 8

On the occasion of International Literacy Day, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai will launch the Ullas Literacy Campaign at the state-level Ullas Fair in the state. The state-level Ullas Fair is being organized on September 8 at Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in Raipur. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai will be the chief guest of this program, while the program will be presided over by Minister-in-charge Shri Kedar Kashyap. On this occasion, special guests will include MP Shri Brijmohan Agarwal, MLAs Shri Punardar Mishra, Anuj Sharma, Indra Kumar Sahu, Rajesh Munat, Motilal Sahu, Guru Khuswant Saheb and Mayor Shri Ejaz Dhebar along with public representatives.

It is worth noting that under the National Education Policy 2020, a grand Literacy Week was organized across the country from 1 to 8 September 2024 with the aim of spreading awareness about the Ullas Nav Bharat Literacy Program and promoting education in all sections of the society. During this, various programs focused on education and literacy were organized in all districts, blocks, urban areas and gram panchayats as well as educational institutions.

Literacy week will conclude on 8 September as International Literacy Day. During this period, special attention was given to basic literacy, important life skills, vocational skills and continuing education. Under this program, on 1 September, Ullas Rath was flagged off and seminars and conferences were organized in educational institutions. On 2 September, song, dance, painting and rangoli competitions focused on education for all were held in all educational institutions. On 3 September, discussions and cultural programs were organized on Ullas program in Panchayati Raj institutions and urban bodies. On 4 September, programs on women literacy and exhibitions based on vocational skills were held, on 5 September, speech and essay competitions focused on Navbharat Literacy were held. On 6 September, programs focused on innovative activities and continuing education were organized. Literacy rally was organized on 7 September. On the last day, on 8 September, state level Ullas fair and International Literacy Day will be organized in a grand manner.
