Mumbai : On the occasion of Ganeshotsav, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde performed the traditional worship of Shri Ganaraya at the government residence, ‘Varsha’. During the ceremony, the Chief Minister prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the state.
As in previous years, this year too, Lord Ganaraya arrived at the Chief Minister’s residence. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, along with his wife Mrs. Lata Shinde, MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde, daughter-in-law Mrs. Vrishali Shinde, and his grandson Rudransh were present at the celebration.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister extended his best wishes to the people of the state for Ganeshotsav. He remarked, “Ganaraya has arrived, bringing joy, peace, and prosperity into our lives. May everyone gain wisdom. Every Ganeshotsav ushers in new energy, inspiration, and enthusiasm. A sacred and auspicious atmosphere spreads everywhere. Ganeshotsav is a reflection of Maharashtra’s rich culture, and the world looks towards Maharashtra during this festival. Not only in Maharashtra but across the country and abroad, Marathi people celebrate with great zeal.”
He added, “This is a government of farmers and workers. The state has received good rainfall this year, which has brought hope and excitement to farmers. However, in some regions, crops have been damaged due to heavy rains. The government stands fully behind the farmers in this challenging time, ensuring all possible assistance will be provided.”

The Chief Minister also urged people to recognize their social responsibilities while celebrating Ganeshotsav, saying, “As we worship Lord Ganesha, let us be mindful of our duty to society. Reach out to the needy, offer them support, and help provide access to education, healthcare, and other services. We must also take care of the environment, as our festivals are deeply connected to nature. Let us celebrate with an awareness of preserving nature.”
He emphasized the success of the state government’s public welfare schemes, which have garnered national recognition. “The government is empowering farmers, youth, and women at all levels. The Chief Minister-My Beloved Sister Yojana has become a transformative initiative in the lives of women across the state, and we are receiving their blessings. Foreign investment is also flowing into the state at a large scale. Maharashtra is set to contribute one trillion dollars to the country’s five trillion-dollar economy.”
Concluding his speech, the Chief Minister said, “With the blessings of Lord Ganesha, we will implement even more beneficial schemes for the poor, vulnerable, and needy people of the state.”
