Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel has said that students should remember the convocation oath every day and always follow the truth. They should respect their parents and teachers. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has given the important responsibility of building a Vikasit Bharat by allowing the youth to enhance their fundamental talents through the National Education Policy. Teachers should guide the students in this regard. They should keep themselves updated with the latest information and technology. They should motivate the youth to solve challenges.
Governor Shri Patel was addressing the convocation ceremony of Barkatullah University, Bhopal held at Kushabhau Thackeray Auditorium. The program held in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav was also attended by Higher Education Minister Shri Inder Singh Parmar, Vice Chancellor Professor Suresh Kumar Jain along with officers of the Higher Education Department and University, faculty, and department heads and students.
University souvenir and book on Yoga released
Governor Shri Patel and Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the convocation ceremony of Barkatullah University, Bhopal by lighting the lamp and offering prayers to Maa Saraswati. Earlier, the University Shobha Yatra entered the auditorium reciting the Swasti Vachan. This was followed by the Police band playing the national anthem after Governor Shri Patel and Chief Minister Dr. Yadav arrived on the stage. Guests in the program were welcomed with shawls, shriphal and saplings. Governor Shri Patel and Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also released the souvenir of Barkatullah University and a book on Yoga. University Vice-Chancellor Professor Suresh Kumar Jain then started the process of convocation after seeking permission from the Governor and Chancellor Shri Patel.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav extends congratulations for the innovation of digital marksheet and degree
Governor Shri Patel and Chief Minister Dr. Yadav launched the system of providing online digital mark sheets and degrees to the students of the university. Degree was awarded to student Sushri Tanu Gulati and PhD degree to Sushri Anupama Kujur in digital format. Barkatullah University, Bhopal is the first university in the country to provide online digital mark sheets and degrees to students.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav congratulated the university for this innovation. Gold medals were awarded by Governor Shri Patel and Chief Minister Dr. Yadav to the students who secured the highest marks at undergraduate, postgraduate and other higher academic levels in various departments and faculties of the University.
Youth are the leaders in building a developed India
Governor Shri Patel said that digital marksheets and degrees should be provided every year by the university. Governor Shri Patel also congratulated the university for the amount of Rs 100 crore received under the PM-USHA scheme for the latest research facilities, infrastructural development, technological upgradation and innovations. Governor Shri Patel said that youth are the leaders of building a developed India. Youth have immense energy, potential and limitless possibilities for building the future, what is needed is strong willpower, hard work, patience, and determination. Challenges can be transformed into opportunities by sustained honest and committed efforts. He called upon the youth to realize the feeling and spirit of ‘Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas’.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav congratulated and extended his best wishes to all the students who received degrees in the convocation ceremony.
Higher Education Minister Shri Parmar said that students should move forward on the path of life by imbibing Indian cultural values and making every possible contribution to keeping the environment of the country positive. In the new education policy, special attention has been given to the Indian knowledge system.
Degrees awarded to students of all faculties and departments
Governor and Chancellor Shri Patel and Chief Minister Dr. Yadav awarded PhD degrees for the academic session 2022-23 to the students of Arts, Commerce, Physical Education, Education, Engineering, Technical Education, Home science, Biology, Law, Science, Social science and other faculties from the stage. Vice Chancellor Professor Jain read out the oath in his sermon to the students. As part of the oath, an excerpt taken from the 11th Article of Aitareya Upanishad was read out to the students in Sanskrit.
