Parsi Community’s Contribution to India’s Development is Significant – Union Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju

Mumbai : The Parsi community has made a significant contribution to India’s development. The Jio Parsi Yojana aims to focus on preserving this community’s cultural heritage, improving education, addressing population growth, and enhancing employment opportunities. Union Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju emphasized that workshops are being organized to provide information and disseminate details about the Jio Parsi Yojana.

A Jio Parsi workshop was held at Yashwantrao Chavan Pratishthan, organized by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Central Government. During the event, Union Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju addressed the audience. Also present were State Minority Development Minister Abdul Sattar, Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs George Kurien, Central Minority Affairs Ministry Deputy Director General Richa Shankar, Principal Secretary of the Minority Development Department Richa Bagla, Chief Parsi Preacher Mr. Dasturji, National Commission for Minorities Chairman Iqbal Singh Lalpura, Vice Chairman Kersi K. Debu, President of Maharashtra State Minority Commission Pyare Jia Khan, and other Parsi community members.

Union Minority Minister Kiren Rijiju highlighted that the Jio Parsi workshop will facilitate discussions on the social issues faced by the Parsi community and offer solutions. The central government is focusing on providing medical assistance, counseling for couples with fertility issues, and community health through this initiative. Efforts are being made to promote the Jio Parsi Yojana through workshops, camps, and various media channels.

State Minority Development Minister Abdul Sattar praised the Jio Parsi Yojana as a crucial initiative for the Parsi community’s development. He stated that the scheme aims to offer financial and educational support while preserving the community’s rich cultural heritage. He encouraged the Parsi community to take advantage of this scheme, affirming the state government’s commitment to minority development and effective implementation of the scheme.

During the workshop, Parsi attendees received comprehensive information about the Jio Parsi scheme implemented by the central government.
