Youth Can Build Global Identity through their Talent and Intellect: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the youth of Madhya Pradesh possess the talent and intellect to earn recognition not only for the State and the country but across the world. He said Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, who rose from an ordinary family background, has enhanced India’s global stature through his leadership, setting an inspiring example for students. The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India not only protected its own citizens through its COVID-19 vaccination programme but also helped save the lives of people in other countries by supplying vaccines. He added that the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system has ensured that the benefits of government welfare schemes reach millions of citizens directly.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the Talent Felicitation Ceremony organised by the Navprayag Cultural and Social Development Committee, Bhopal, at the Hansdhwani Auditorium of Ravindra Bhavan, Bhopal, to honour meritorious students and achievers from the South-West Assembly constituency. Director of the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Dr. Ashutosh Kumar Singh, Dr. Mini Mehra and the programme convener, Smt. Aarti Aneja, were present on the occasion.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav congratulated the students and other achievers being honoured and said that talented individuals from diverse fields contribute to nation-building through dedication, perseverance, values, intelligence, ingenuity and the effective use of time. He said that such recognition also provides them with a renewed sense of identity and motivation. The Chief Minister, referring to Bhopal’s Sushri Chandni Vishwakarma, who secured the first position in the Class 12 merit list, described her achievement as an inspiring example for students. He also recalled the life of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, who qualified for the Indian Civil Service examination before India’s Independence but chose to dedicate himself to the freedom struggle instead of pursuing a career in the civil services. The Chief Minister said that while today’s youth are not required to sacrifice their lives, they should use their intellect and abilities to enhance the nation’s prestige and contribute to its progress. He also appreciated the Navprayag Committee for organising the felicitation programme.

Addressing the gathering, MLA Shri Bhagwandas Sabnani said that under the leadership and inspiration of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, talented students from the constituency are excelling not only in academics but in every field. He informed that the talent felicitation programme has been organised for three consecutive years, honouring 350 achievers in the first year, 480 in the second year and 591 this year. He said students from the South-West Assembly constituency who secured more than 85 per cent marks in Classes 10 and 12 and more than 75 per cent marks in graduation and postgraduation were honoured.
