Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla Offers Prayers at Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga

Nashik, July 2026: Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla visited the sacred Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga temple on Saturday, where he offered prayers and performed traditional rituals. He also participated in the aarti and prayed for the country’s continued progress, prosperity and well-being.

On his arrival, the temple administration extended a warm welcome to the Lok Sabha Speaker. Senior officials from the district administration, police department and representatives of the Trimbakeshwar Temple Trust were present during the visit.

Among those present were Trimbak Municipal Council President Triveni Tungar, Resident Deputy Collector Rohitkumar Rajput, Assistant Collector Dr. Pawan Datta, Trainee Collector Dr. Jaykumar Adhe, Tehsildar Ganesh Jadhav, Police Inspector Pritam Chaudhary, temple trustees Kailas Ghule and Rupali Bhutada, and Manoj Thete, President of the Trimbakeshwar Priests’ Association.

Earlier, before visiting the temple, Speaker Om Birla also performed traditional religious rituals at Kushavart Tirth, the revered sacred pond regarded as the origin of the Godavari River and one of the holiest pilgrimage sites associated with Trimbakeshwar.

The visit formed part of the Speaker’s spiritual tour, during which he sought blessings at one of India’s twelve revered Jyotirlingas and offered prayers for the nation’s peace, development and prosperity.
