Meeting of the Secretary of Higher and Technical Education with Stakeholders on the Draft ‘Rajasthan Coaching Centers (Control and Regulation) Bill, 2024’
Jaipur : A meeting with stakeholders regarding the draft of the Rajasthan Coaching Center (Control and Regulation) Bill, 2024 was held at the Hindi Granth Akademi Auditorium on Thursday, chaired by Dr. Aarushi Malik, Secretary of Higher and Technical Education.
During the meeting, Dr. Malik emphasized the importance of the stakeholders’ suggestions for the department, stating that both coaching and school directors are also parents, and that the shared goal is to ensure the development and well-being of children in a healthy environment. She encouraged coaching institutes to submit their fee refund policies and additional suggestions to the department’s email, secretaryhte@gmail.com, within a week.
Commissioner of College Education, Mr. Omprakash Bairwa, addressed the stakeholders, urging them to submit clear and concise suggestions regarding the provisions of the proposed Bill. He stressed that the State Government will take these into consideration in light of the Central guidelines to make the Bill more practical and effective.
The session began with Dr. Harishankar Mewara, Joint Secretary of Higher Education, delivering a PowerPoint presentation outlining the key provisions of the proposed Coaching Bill. The stakeholders were also informed about the suo moto petitions currently pending in the High Court, as well as the guidelines issued by the Central Government.
All stakeholders welcomed the introduction of the Bill, stating that regulation of coaching institutes is necessary. They also provided a range of comprehensive suggestions to enhance the Bill.
Representatives from coaching institutes, private school associations, hostel directors, and parents participated in the meeting.
