Inauguration of ‘Modular Operation Theater’ at Vasantrao Naik Government Medical College by Guardian Minister Sanjay Rathod

Yavatmal : A state-of-the-art modular operation theater has been constructed at Vasantrao Naik Government Medical College, and it was inaugurated today by Guardian Minister Sanjay Rathod. This is the first fully equipped modular theater in the state, built with ₹15 crore from the District Annual Plan. After the inauguration, Minister Rathod inspected the facility and expressed his satisfaction with the modern facilities.
Present during the inauguration were District Collector Dr. Pankaj Ashiya, Chief Executive Officer Mandar Patki, Medical College Dean Dr. Girish Jatkar, Superintendent Dr. Surendra Bhuyar, Dr. Rohidas Chavan, Cancer Therapy Specialist Dr. Ashutosh Gawande, and several other dignitaries, including Dr. Surendra Gawarle, Dr. Rameshwar Pawar, Dr. Aniket Buche, Dr. Vinod Rathod, Dr. Swapnil Madankar, Dr. Vallabh Jana, Dr. Vishal Yelke, and Dr. Ram Tongale.
The newly constructed modular theater is equipped with the most advanced surgical facilities in the state. It features live broadcast capabilities, enabling surgeries to be watched in real-time. Expert surgical guidance can also be provided during procedures, and surgeries can be recorded for further review. Robotic technology will be used to enhance surgical precision.
Minister Rathod allocated ₹15 crore from the District Annual Plan to fund the construction of this state-of-the-art facility. The modular theater is now operational for patient services, and an effective disinfection system has been installed. After the formal inauguration, Minister Rathod conducted a thorough inspection of the facility.
Inauguration of Postgraduate Skills Lab
A new Postgraduate Skills Lab, constructed with a budget of ₹6.25 crore from the District Annual Plan, was also inaugurated by Minister Rathod. This lab will provide postgraduate surgical students with advanced training in various surgical techniques and procedures.
State-of-the-art Hearing Loss Measurement Room
A sophisticated hearing loss measurement room was inaugurated by the Guardian Minister. This facility, built with ₹32 lakh from the Mineral Development Fund, will enable accurate screening of patients with hearing impairments, particularly benefiting children with hearing difficulties.
Distribution of Hearing Aids to Deaf Patients
Minister Rathod distributed hearing aids to patients undergoing treatment for hearing impairment at the medical college. Approximately 250 patients will receive these hearing aids free of cost, funded by the Mineral Development Fund. Smiles of happiness were seen on the faces of the patients as they experienced the ability to hear clearly after receiving their devices.
