The Benefits of Women and Child Development Department’s Schemes Should Reach the Target Group: Secretary of Governance

Jaipur : Mahendra Soni, Secretary of the Women and Child Development Department, inspected the offices of the Deputy Director of ICDS and the Deputy Director of Women’s Empowerment at the Jaipur District Collector’s Office on Monday.

During the meeting, the Secretary directed that the benefits of various schemes run by the Women and Child Development Department must reach the targeted women and children. He emphasized that the department operates schemes aimed at the poor and vulnerable sections of women, girls, and children, and urged the officials to work with full transparency and a spirit of service.

Dr. Rajesh Dogiwal, Deputy Director of Women’s Empowerment, provided the Secretary with detailed information about the work being done at the district level. Assistant Director Rajesh Dogiwal also shared insights on the schemes being run by Women’s Empowerment and the benefits provided to women and girls.

The Secretary sought information from officials about the services provided by the department’s 181 Women Helpline Center, Women’s Safety and Advisory Center, and Sakhi One Stop Centers (Aparajita).

He also inquired about the better guidance, advice, information, help, and support being offered to women through the 181 Women’s Helpline. Furthermore, he reviewed other initiatives run by the Directorate of Women’s Empowerment, such as Udaan, employment training schemes for women, loan schemes for women to start their own enterprises, and the detailed workings of the Lado Yojana.
