Tableau of tribal rebellion during British period being made in Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Museum

The Shaheed Veeranarayan Singh Museum being built in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar on the theme of the historical contribution of the tribal freedom fighters of Chhattisgarh is being constructed at a fast pace. 15 galleries are being prepared in the museum. Here a tableau of tribal rebellions during the British rule is being prepared.

Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Adivasi (Freedom Fighter) Museum is being set up near Purkhauti Muktangan on about 10 acres of land at a cost of Rs 45 crore. This museum will not only remind people of the supreme sacrifice made by the tribal freedom fighters of Chhattisgarh during the freedom struggle, but will also acquaint the common people with the glorious tribal tradition of Chhattisgarh. This museum will emerge as a centre of attraction for people of all classes.  

Principal Secretary Mr. Bora said that it is proposed to inaugurate Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Museum in the month of November on the occasion of Lord Birsa Munda’s birthday. Therefore, the work should be speeded up with quality. He inquired about the progress of the work so far from the officers, engineers, curators and construction agency officials and also instructed the construction agency officials to increase manpower to complete the work within the stipulated time frame.

The officials were informed that the construction of the statues to be installed in the museum is going on at a fast pace, the work of statue making will be completed within the stipulated time period. The finishing work of the statues is also being done parallelly. On this occasion, Director of Tribal Research and Training Institute, Mr. P.S. Elma and other senior officials were present.
 
Tableau of tribal rebellion will be shown in the museum,   
the tribal lifestyle of Chhattisgarh will be shown in the first gallery, while the second gallery will have scenes of atrocities of the British and local government on the tribes of the state, Halba rebellion in the third gallery, Surguja rebellion in the fourth gallery, Bhopalpattanam rebellion in the fifth gallery, Paralkot rebellion in the sixth gallery, Tarapur rebellion in the seventh gallery, Lingagiri rebellion in the eighth gallery, some rebellion in the ninth gallery.

Similarly, the Maria rebellion of Dantewada in the tenth gallery, the Muria rebellion in the eleventh gallery, the Rani Chaurais rebellion in the twelfth gallery, the Bhumkal rebellion of Bastar in the thirteenth gallery, the Sonakhan rebellion of martyr Veer Narayan Singh in the fourteenth gallery and the struggle of the brave tribal heroes of the Flag Satyagraha and Jungle Satyagraha in the fifteenth gallery have been beautifully depicted.
