Uttar Pradesh Police won a total of 12 medals
In the First All India Police Weightlifting Cluster Championship 2024-25 being held at Bhilai Mini Stadium today, the Uttar Pradesh Police team performed brilliantly and won a total of 12 medals, including 03 gold, 05 silver and 04 bronze medals. 33 central and state police teams are participating in this championship competition.
The closing ceremony of the first All India Police Weightlifting Cluster Championship competition will be held on 27 September at 4.30 pm at First Battalion, Chhattisgarh Police Bhilai under the chief hospitality of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai. On this occasion, the program will be presided over by Home Minister Shri Vijay Sharma. Sports Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma, MP Shri Vijay Baghel, MLA Durg City Shri Gajendra Yadav will be present as special guests in the program.
In various competitions held today on 25 September, the BSF team won a total of 04 medals including 03 gold and 01 silver. Rajasthan Police team won a total of 06 medals including 02 gold, 02 silver and 02 bronze, Chhattisgarh Police won a total of 03 medals including 02 gold and 01 bronze, SSB won 02 gold medals, Punjab Police won 04 medals, Odisha Police won 02 medals, CRPF won 02 medals. Maharashtra Police was successful in winning 01 gold medal. This championship competition has promoted sports spirit and enthusiasm among the police personnel. All the teams participating in the event have made this event a huge success with their excellent performances.
In the medal ceremony, Chief Guest Additional Director General of Police Mr. Dipanshu Kabra, Superintendent of Police Durg Mr. Jitendra Shukla and Regional Head Bank of Baroda Mr. Diwakar Prasad Singh along with other senior officers presented medals to the winning teams and players and wished them good luck.
