Ensure Timely Payment of Sathins’ Honorarium: Secretary, Women and Child Development

Jaipur : Mr. Mahendra Soni, Secretary of Women and Child Development, chaired the department’s monthly review meeting on Thursday. He instructed that the honorarium for Sathins working at the Gram Panchayat level must be paid sensitively and on time. He emphasized that there should be minimal backlog at every level, warning that strict disciplinary action will be taken against responsible officers if work is not completed on time. He also directed that departmental schemes be propagated both at the macro and grassroots levels.

In the meeting chaired by Mr. Soni, Additional Director of Women Empowerment, Mr. Rajesh Singh, Ms. Neetu Rajeshwar, Mr. Bharat Bhushan, as well as all scheme in-charges, district deputy directors, and assistant directors were present.

Mr. Soni directed that activities be organized as per the Directorate’s calendar. Public awareness programs should be held at regular intervals in accordance with the budget provided by the Government of India, and progress should be reported. He instructed that pending activities should be completed within one month, and reports submitted accordingly.

The Secretary recognized Jhunjhunu, Churu, and Jaipur districts for outstanding performance in schemes under the “Key Performance Indicators (KPI).” Dungarpur district was awarded for excellence in the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojana.

During the meeting, Mr. Soni discussed the progress of the Women Safety and Protection Cell, Women Safety Center, and One Stop Center. He gave instructions to review the distribution of sanitary napkins under the UDAAN Yojana for the first schedule of the 2024-25 financial year. Similarly, the reverse entry status on the e-Aushadhi portal for the first schedule of the same financial year was discussed.

Mr. Soni reviewed the progress of loan disbursements under the Enterprise Promotion Scheme and addressed deficiencies, issues, and complaints identified during surprise inspections. He discussed the status of TDR by coordinating with relevant banks and financial institutions, along with updates on loan subsidy adjustments, progress in group marriages under the Sathin and Group Marriage Cell, and payment of Sathin dues. He issued necessary instructions to address these matters.
