Chief Minister at CPA Conference Hosts Cultural Programme and Dinner
Aizawl : Last evening, Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma organized a Cultural Programme followed by a dinner for delegates attending the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) India Region, Zone – III conference at the Mizoram Legislative Assembly Conference Hall.
In his speech, the Chief Minister highlighted that our traditional customs, songs, and way of life showcase the pride of the people in northeastern India. He emphasized that being a nation of diverse cultures and traditions enriches our identity. Tonight, some of our cultural heritage will be presented by the Pachhunga University College Cultural Club, and I trust it will leave a lasting impression. He also encouraged the delegates to reflect on how the rich and diverse cultures of the northeastern tribes contribute to a greater global understanding. “Our customs, the wisdom passed down by our ancestors, and our beautiful songs and dances are not just for display but should inspire us to aim for greater heights,” the Chief Minister added, addressing the attending MLAs from various northeastern states.
The Pachhunga University College Cultural Club beautifully showcased traditional performances such as Lamlian Lehlam, Cheraw (Bamboo Dance), and Chheihlam, while talented singers also performed at the event.
