FCS&CA Minister Visits Site of Railway Track Damage at Tlawng River
Kolasib : Today, FCS&CA Minister Pu B. Lalchhanzova visited the site where the railway track was damaged by the flooding of the Tlawng River on August 28 at Killarbak village in Hailakandi district. Indian Railways is currently working on repairing the damaged track.
During the visit, Pu Sankalp Aggarwal, Deputy Chief Engineer of Indian Railways, briefed the Minister on the ongoing repair efforts at Jamira Railway Station. He assured that the repair work would be completed as soon as possible, with work being carried out day and night. The minister expressed his satisfaction with the progress and was informed that the work would be completed by the end of October.
After inspecting the damaged track, Minister Pu B. Lalchhanzova reviewed the repair plans and appreciated the efforts of those involved in the restoration. He emphasized the importance of the track not only for Mizoram but also for the supply of essential goods to Churachandpur, urging that the work continues efficiently. The minister also mentioned that the Chief Minister of Mizoram, Pu Lalduhoma, had previously appealed to the Railway Minister, Pu Ashwini Vaishnaw, on September 3 to expedite the repair of the damaged railway track at Jamira Station. Pu PR Kumar, DRM/Lumding, was also contacted by phone to ensure the repairs are completed promptly.
Minister Pu B. Lalchhanzova was accompanied by Sankalp Agarwal, ADEN Badarpur, and Pi Mrigakshi Das, ACS Circle Officer, Katlicherra. From Mizoram, Pi Saizikpuii, MCS Director FCS&CA, Pi Zodinpuii Ralte, Divisional Manager FCI Mizoram, Pi Josephine Zonunsangi, SDO Civil Bairabi, and Pu R Zirliana, DCSO Kolasib, were also present.
Additionally, the Minister visited the Synod Mission Compound in Gharmurra and held a meeting with the workers there. During the interaction, he donated Rs. 50,000 to the Presbyterian Mission School through Headmaster Pu HC Laldinmawia for their ongoing work.
