PM Modi virtually inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of Eklavya Model Residential School in Jashpur
On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Late Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri, today Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated Eklavya Adarsh Residential School Sukhrapara, Block Pathalgaon in Jashpur district from Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. Along with this, Prime Minister Shri Modi also performed virtual Bhoomi Pujan of Eklavya Adarsh Residential School in village Dhudhrudand, Block Kansabel and Block Farasbahar. For better education of tribal students, Prime Minister Shri Modi also virtually inaugurated 40 Eklavya Residential Schools worth Rs 1726.2 crore and laid the foundation stone of 25 buildings worth Rs 1108.2 crore in the country from Jharkhand. These include the inauguration of 04 Eklavya residential buildings and laying the foundation stone of 03 in Chhattisgarh. Vice President of Sarguja Development Authority and Pathalgaon MLA Smt. Gomti Sai symbolically inaugurated Eklavya Adarsh Residential School Sukhrapara. On this occasion, he also planted a mango tree in the school premises with a meaningful message in the name of Mother.
Addressing virtually from Jharkhand, Prime Minister Shri Modi congratulated the people of India for today’s projects and said that Mahatma Gandhi’s vision and thoughts towards tribal welfare are very important for all of us. Mahatma Gandhi believed that India can progress only when the tribal society progresses rapidly. Prime Minister Shri Modi said that today development works worth more than 80 thousand crores have been inaugurated and foundation stones laid from the holy land of Jharkhand. These schemes are dedicated to the development of tribal society. The Prime Minister said that this is a proof of the priority given by the government to the tribal communities.
Eklavya Adarsh Residential School will have facilities like latest technology, smart classes, labs
An amount of Rs 37.50 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of Eklavya Adarsh Residential School Sukhrapara Pathalgaon. The work of the first phase has been completed at a cost of Rs 19.40 crore. At present, studies up to 10th standard will be conducted in the school. After the construction work of the second phase is completed, studies up to 12th standard will start. The school has been built in a modern way. There will be facilities of smart classes, labs, hostels for the students here. Similarly, Eklavya Adarsh Residential School will be constructed at a cost of Rs 36.60 crore in Dhudhrudand, Block Kansabel and Rs 36.59 crore in Block Farasbahar. On this occasion, Mr Sunil Gupta, Mr Sunil Agarwal, Mr Harjeet Singh Bhatia, District Panchayat CEO Mr Abhishek Kumar, Pathalgaon SDM Ms Akanksha Tripathi, Assistant Commissioner Tribal Development Jashpur Mr Sanjay Singh along with local public representatives, officers-employees and others were present at Eklavya Adarsh Residential School Sukhrapara.
