70 individuals affected by Naxal violence received appointment orders in various departments from the Chief Minister.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai made several significant announcements aimed at the region’s development, including increasing the number of beds in Bijapur District Hospital from 100 to 200.
He also handed over government appointment orders to 70 dependents of Naxal-affected families under the Naxal Rehabilitation Policy and distributed a bonus of Rs 14.9 crore to over 19,000 Tendu leaf collectors.
During the event held at the mini stadium of Bijapur district headquarters, the Chief Minister inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan for 209 development projects worth over Rs 263.66 crore. This includes Bhoomi Pujan for 145 projects valued at Rs 228.53 crore as well as the inauguration of 64 projects costing Rs 35.13 crore.
Shri Sai also announced the establishment of a nursing college in Bijapur, a 132 kV electric substation in Bhopalpatnam, the opening of 33 new schools, a central library and the connection of specialist doctors to the National Health Mission. He directed the collector to make arrangements for Prayas Residential School and coaching for competitive examinations.
In his address, the Chief Minister emphasized the acceleration of development work in the Bastar region, stating that the benefits of both Central and State Government schemes are being extended to areas affected by Maoist violence through the Niyyad Nellnar Yojana. He highlighted Chhattisgarh’s rich natural, mineral, and forest resources, commending the energetic residents for their vital role in the state’s development. The program also featured remarks from Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, Forest Minister and Bijapur In-charge Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, and Bastar Lok Sabha MP Shri Mahesh Kashyap.
The Chief Minister distributed Graha Pravesh (key distribution) and housing acceptance letters under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), along with the Tendu Patta Bonus, funds under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, Kisan Credit Cards, certificates to Niyyad Nellnar beneficiaries who completed sewing training, and materials to Self Help Groups. He also distributed income and caste-residence certificates and sports equipment to youth.
Shri Sai inspected departmental stalls at the venue and distributed materials to beneficiaries of various schemes, including Forest Rights Certificates, Vishwakarma Yojana Certificates, and e-rickshaws. The event was attended by Bastar Commissioner Mr. Doman Singh, IG Mr. Sundarraj P, Collector Mr Sambit Mishra, Superintendent of Police Dr Jitendra Yadav, CEO District Panchayat Mr. Hemant Ramesh Nandanwar, along with other district officials, prominent public representatives, and citizens.
