PM Modi Inaugurates Mumbai Metro Line-3 and Celebrates Marathi Language Status

Thane: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Mumbai Metro Line-3 between BKC and Aarey JVLR section on Saturday, flagging off the metro train. He also took a ride on the train, interacting with school children and women along the way. Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde praised PM Modi, saying that “development and trust” are the two pillars of the Modi government. The CM expressed his gratitude to PM Modi for granting classical language status to Marathi.

Addressing a gathering in Thane, the Chief Minister stated, “The country’s successful and popular Prime Minister has arrived in Thane today. I thank him for making the historic decision to recognize Marathi as a classical language.” Praising PM Modi further, he said, “The Prime Minister talks about speed and progress. Development and trust are the two key aspects of the Modi government.”

Speaking about development projects, while also targeting the previous Maharashtra government led by Uddhav Thackeray, Shinde said, “Today is an important day for Mumbai. The journey from Thane to Mumbai is set to become easier. We will respond to our opponents through our development works. The Mumbai Metro Line-3 project was suspended, but our government reversed that decision. The Atal Setu Coastal Road is also being completed today. Our government has now become the people’s favorite. It is not our government that fed khichdi to COVID patients.”

During the same event, PM Modi launched a scathing attack on the Congress, calling it the most dishonest and corrupt party in the country. He further accused them of land grabbing, mistreating women, and supporting urban Naxalites. PM Modi also warned people, saying, “If we become divided, those who seek to divide us will celebrate.”
