Hon’ble Minister V. Senthilbalaji Addresses Power Distribution Concerns in Kanchipuram

Today, the Hon’ble Minister V. Senthilbalaji presided over a meeting concerning the power distribution in the Kanchipuram zone. The meeting focused on connecting the Kanchipuram power distribution station with the Sakkalla station, emphasizing the need for infrastructure improvements.

During the session, discussions were held about various areas in the Kanchipuram power distribution zones, including Mamtsakallapata and the expansion study of the Mendya pre-psychic and nadetic regions. Notable attendees included Mr. K. Nandakuyar, Director of Tamil Nadu Power Generation and Distribution Corporation, Mr. Anish Megar, Director of Tamil Nadu Pasulai Erekti Kazhagam, and other significant stakeholders.

According to the presentation by the Hon’ble Chief Minister, from April 1, 2024, to September 30, 2024, a total of 15,93,893 maintenance tasks were completed. In particular, 5,983 poles were shifted in the Kanchipuram power zones, and 3,193 fallen power poles were decommissioned. Additionally, 2,604 new electric poles were installed, and 12,034 multiple inhalers were addressed. Repairs included renewing support wires for electric poles and opening 2,040 pillar boxes. Furthermore, approximately 534 km of coral wires were replaced with new ones, totaling 1,14,454 maintenance tasks completed.

On October 5, 2024, Hon’ble Minister Senthilbalaji conducted a review based on data from a 2018 survey regarding the Kanchipuram power zones. The review included 392 transformers, 4,444 poles, and 2,484 km of conductors. Official updates on the status of these resources were shared with attendees.

The meeting also involved Nodal Officers from various areas, who received instructions from the Hon’ble Minister regarding the installation of low-level pillar boxes in Chenlai and its suburbs, with a target height of 1 meter per mile.

The Kanchipuram Indai Talilai addressed all the workers involved in various tasks. Concerns were raised about the inability to complete tasks within the specified time frame.

It was emphasized that pillar boxes should be installed at appropriate levels. Regional Executives and Assistant Executives will conduct inspections to confirm the mileage.

In the Chatariyum Min in the RK Nagar area, measures will be taken to protect Mughals from theft. In the Ambattur area, electrical conductors that are currently in precarious positions may need to be raised to prevent breakage. The pillar boxes in the low-lying Aladayalam area of Madhaiammapatlada will be raised vertically.

In Ayiapur, damaged power cables will be repaired alongside metal structures during drinking water drainage works. All planting and safety equipment must be in working order and properly heated to ensure suitability for all types of food.

Preparation for potential power outages was discussed. The first step involves ensuring the availability of medical supplies and drinking water, as well as checking the condition of cables, aeronautical units, engines, and cellophane units. These components must be illuminated adequately.

Proper wiring is essential to prevent electrical wires from being severed, particularly at the Mabarka base. Additionally, equipment should be suitable for high altitudes during the monsoon season, especially for works involving collectors and dishwashers.

Employees engaged in work during emergencies must be accommodated, especially in schools, Thirumai Mandapams, and elderly homes that may be at risk of destruction.

The Honorable Minister has warned against premature actions and emphasized the importance of careful planning. During the monsoon season, efforts must be made to prevent drought conditions in Takhel Sadadarbil. Other tasks should be prioritized as needed, and machine work should begin immediately.

A detailed study of power outages in the Senwai and Kanchipuram zones was conducted from April 1, 2024, to September 30, 2024. Frequent outages during the summer months, particularly in Saippu Keim, will be monitored closely, and any issues detected in the vehicles must be fixed immediately.

Complaints received from Sabatikas will be addressed thoroughly. A dedicated line for complaints regarding e-mails and scams is available 24 hours a day at 94987 94987.
