Strict action will be taken against those working against the rules in the name of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana: Minister-in-charge Shri Jaiswal

A district-level housing fair was organized today in the school ground of Gram Panchayat Dongaria of Marwahi development block under the chief hospitality of Minister in charge of Gaurela Pendra Marwahi district and Health Minister of the state, Shri Shyambihari Jaiswal. At the fair, Bhoomi Pujan of newly approved houses and symbolic Griha Pravesh of the beneficiaries who have completed their houses, along with handing over a demo of the house and keys, were done. The Minister in charge said in his address that the dream of permanent houses for the poor is being fulfilled by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai. As soon as he became the Chief Minister, Shri Sai approved permanent houses to 18 lakh people of the state. He said that our government is continuously working for the development of villages, poor and farmers.

Minister-in-charge Shri Jaiswal said that strict action will be taken against anyone who acts against the rules in the name of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He asked all the beneficiaries to immediately inform the Collector and SP if money is demanded in the name of housing approval. He said that not a single Baiga family should be left out for housing under PM Janman Yojana. For this, the Collector was instructed to approve permanent houses to all Baiga families by conducting a survey. Also, instructions were given to run a campaign under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi and benefit 100% farmers. He asked to make lease of all landholder farmers and get them benefited from Kisan Samman Nidhi by getting KYC done. Also, instructions were given to the Divisional Forest Officer to get registration done within 10 days for purchasing paddy from forest rights leaseholder farmers. Minister-in-charge Shri Jaiswal symbolically handed over the demo of the house and keys from the stage to 15 beneficiaries who have completed the housing. Similarly, housing approval letters were handed over to 15 beneficiaries.    

Marwahi MLA Mr Pranav Kumar Marpachchi, Chairman District Panchayat Bilaspur Mr Arun Singh Chauhan, Superintendent of Police along with officials, public representatives and villagers were present at the housing fair. Meanwhile, Collector Mrs Leena Kamlesh Mandavi informed that under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin, the permanent waiting list in the district is of 47 thousand 245 families and in Awas Plus there are 15 thousand 190 families. A total of 27 thousand 608 houses were approved in the district, out of which 25 thousand 180 houses have been completed so far. A target has been set to complete the remaining ongoing houses by Diwali.
