Result of the ‘Maharashtra State Best Public Ganeshotsav Mandal Competition-2024’ Declared

Cultural Affairs Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar to Distribute Prizes on October 9

Mumbai : The Department of Cultural Affairs of the State Government has announced the results of the Best Public Ganeshotsav Mandal Competition 2024, conducted by Deshpande Maharashtra Kala Akademi. The State Level First Award has been given to Bharat Mata Ganesh Mandal from Devanandra, District Parbhani; the Second Award has been awarded to Jai Bhavani Mitra Mandal, Thane; and the Third Award has gone to Vasundhara Vriksharupi Ganeshotsav, Latur.

The best Ganeshotsav mandal in the state will be honored with a prize of Rs. 5 lakh, the second place with Rs. 2 lakh 50 thousand, and the third place with Rs. 1 lakh. In addition, district-wise prize winners have also been announced for the remaining 36 districts, with each district level award consisting of Rs. 25,000, a badge, and a certificate. Cultural Affairs Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar congratulated all the state-level and district-level winners.

The prize distribution ceremony for the competition will be held in the presence of Cultural Affairs Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. The ceremony will take place at Yashwant Natya Mandir, Mahim, Mumbai-16, at 12 noon. School Education Minister and Guardian Minister of Mumbai City District Deepak Kesarkar, MP Anil Desai, and MLA Sada Saravankar will be the distinguished guests at this event. A cultural program titled ‘Naman Ganesha,’ written and directed by Sailila Kala Manch and Vinayak Purushottam, will feature performances by renowned Maharashtra comedians Nikhil Bane and Nimish Kulkarni. Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister and Additional Chief Secretary of the Cultural Affairs Department Vikas Kharge has invited everyone to attend this program.
