“Double Engine Government Committed to Development of All Sections of Society” – Energy Minister
Jaipur : Energy Minister and Tonk District In-Charge Shri Hiralal Nagar visited the Uniyara sub-division of Tonk district on Thursday, where he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 23 different development projects, sanctioned by the Zilla Parishad, in the Gram Panchayats of Rupwas, Banetha, Ruppura, and Sureli. These projects, with a total allocation of ₹1.18 crore, aim to foster local development. Following the public hearing, he directed officials to promptly address both individual and public grievances of the villagers. Tonk District Chief Saroj Bansal, along with other public representatives and block-level officers, was present at the event.
During the program, the Energy Minister emphasized that the “Double Engine Government,” under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, is committed to ensuring the development of every section of society. He highlighted that government schemes are being implemented with a focus on improving the livelihoods of laborers, farmers, youth, and women. Both the central and state governments are working in tandem to ensure the development of the Deoli-Uniyara region.
Shri Nagar noted that 10 years ago, the Prime Minister initiated the Swachh Bharat Mission, which became a mass movement across the country, resulting in the construction of millions of toilets and the elimination of open defecation. He added that, under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, comprehensive development plans are being prepared based on the specific needs of Gram Panchayats, in line with the vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” (Collective Effort, Inclusive Growth).
The Energy Minister also remarked that the state government has taken concrete steps to make Rajasthan self-reliant in the energy sector, ensuring that farmers, the backbone of the country, receive electricity during daylight hours. Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, ₹6,000 is being transferred annually to the accounts of farmers by the Government of India, with the state government contributing an additional ₹2,000.
Minister’s Call for Swift Resolution of Public Issues
During public hearings held in the Gram Panchayats of Ruppura, Banetha, Rupwas, and Sureli, the Minister listened to the personal and public grievances of the villagers. The residents submitted requests to the Minister for compensation related to electricity, water, roads, medical facilities, crop damage, and the removal of encroachments. Shri Nagar instructed officials to address these complaints promptly and efficiently, emphasizing that action will be taken against any personnel found to be negligent in resolving public issues.
