More than twenty thousand beneficiaries will get permanent houses: Union Minister Shri Tokhan Sahu

Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development Shri Tokhan Sahu said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has pledged to make the dreams of the poor come true. As soon as he became the Prime Minister for the third time, he first approved 03 crore houses. Shri Sahu said that more than 20 thousand beneficiaries will get permanent houses in Mungeli district. He was addressing the housing fair organized on the theme of “Hamar Awas Hamar Vikas” in Mungeli today.  

Deputy Chief Minister Mr Arun Saw, District In-charge Minister Mr Lakhan Lal Dewangan and MLA Mr Punnulal Mohle along with several public representatives and a large number of beneficiaries attended the program. At the housing fair, the guests handed over acceptance letters to 10 beneficiaries of the housing scheme and keys for house warming to 10 beneficiaries. 9 Lakhpati didis were honored in the program. At the fair, 9 beneficiaries were benefited under Community Investment Fund, 9 under Revolving Fund, 9 under NRLL Bank Linkage and 5 under PM Vishwakarma Yojana.

Addressing the program, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Saw said that every poor person dreams of having his own concrete house. The Prime Minister of the country took the initiative to make this dream come true. As soon as the government was formed in Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai approved 18 lakh houses in the first cabinet meeting on December 14. Industry Minister Shri Dewangan said that 20551 houses will be constructed in Mungeli district in 2024. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the Chhattisgarh government is fulfilling each and every guarantee of Modi. MLA Shri Punnulal Mohle also addressed the program.

In Mungeli district, more than 47 thousand 100 houses have been completed against the target of 49 thousand 225 houses. In the state level ranking in the housing scheme, Mungeli district is at the fourth position from the top. Against the completed houses in the district, Rs 565 crore 26 lakh and the first installment amount of Rs 33 crore 23 lakh 20 thousand in the newly approved houses has been transferred to the accounts of the beneficiaries.
