Officials from Madhya Pradesh Observe Management of Free Medicine Scheme in Rajasthan

Jaipur : A team from the Madhya Pradesh Public Health Services Corporation arrived in Jaipur on a two-day visit on Tuesday to observe the implementation and management of the Free Medicine Scheme in Rajasthan. The team toured medical institutions in Jaipur to study the management of the Free Medicine Scheme in the state.

Mrs. Neha Giri, Managing Director of the Rajasthan Medical Services Corporation, stated that Rajasthan continues to lead the nation in the management and implementation of the Free Medicine Scheme. Continuous innovations and necessary changes are being made to enhance the scheme’s effectiveness. The team from Madhya Pradesh visited Rajasthan to study the management of the Free Medicine Scheme.

On the first day, the team visited the Urban Primary Health Center at Kiran Path, Mansarovar, and the Primary Health Center at Devnagar, Sodala, in Jaipur to understand the supply and distribution process of medicines under the Free Medicine Scheme. Officials from RMSCL provided detailed information on the supply process, distribution, and disposal of expired medicines. They also explained the online management of medicine supply through the e-Aushadhi software.

In the evening, the officials from Madhya Pradesh visited the Medical College Drug Warehouse at Sawai Mansingh Hospital and the District Drug Warehouses Jaipur I and II, located at the CMHO office, to understand the storage system for medicines. They closely observed the storage arrangements and gathered the necessary information. The team included MPPHSCL’s Managing Director Dr. Pankaj Jain, General Manager Procurement Dr. Rajesh Gupta, General Manager Finance Mr. Vishal Sharma, General Manager Quality Mr. Abhinav Singh, among other officials.

On Wednesday, the Madhya Pradesh team will visit Jaipuria Hospital and Amer Community Health Center and participate in a meeting at the Health Building to review a detailed presentation on the Free Medicine Scheme and discuss key points.
