Lunglei Leitlangpui Music Festival 2024 Organising Committee Holds Meeting

This afternoon, the Organising Committee for the Leitlangpui Music Festival 2024 convened at the Lunglei DC Conference Hall.

The meeting was chaired by Organising Committee Secretary and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Lunglei Municipal Council, Pu Donny Lalruatsanga, who expressed gratitude for the government’s support and the Tourism Department’s assistance in organizing the Leitlangpui Music Festival 2024.

The Vice Chairman of the Organising Committee, Tourism Department Director Pi R. Lalrodingi, stated that the Ministry of Tourism provides funds annually for two festivals, and this year, the Tourism Department has also planned to hold the Leitlangpui Music Festival in Lunglei. She emphasized that the success of the festival would depend on the participation of various government departments, organizations, district residents, and volunteers.

The Leitlangpui Music Festival is scheduled to be held from November 14-16, 2024, at Pukpui, Lunglei. Planned events include a Beat Contest Competition, concerts, food stalls, a museum, and cultural programs. Different government departments and organizations will contribute their expertise and resources. Various sub-committees have been formed, such as the Media & Publicity Sub-Committee, headed by DIPRO and MJA Lunglei District, while the Ushering & Reception Sub-Committee and the Refreshment Sub-Committee will be managed by the YMA Sub-Headquarters. Additional sub-committees for accommodation, food stalls, and music competition have also been established.

Today’s meeting saw the participation of government departments, NGOs, MJA, Lunglei Youth Association, Leitlang Film Society, student organizations, and prominent citizens.
