Mayawati Slams BJP: ‘No More Empty Promises’ in Winning Lok Sabha Elections 2024

Nagpur : BSP President Mayawati launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during a recent election rally in Nagpur, accusing them of serving the interests of capitalists and wealthy individuals at the expense of the common people. She denounced the BJP’s reliance on electoral bonds, alleging that the ruling party has been bolstering its coffers with financial assistance from these sources. In contrast, Mayawati asserted proudly that her party, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), has refrained from accepting even a single rupee through this controversial scheme.

Emphasizing the disillusionment among the electorate, Mayawati declared that the BJP’s promises have largely gone unfulfilled, leaving the public skeptical of the party’s rhetoric. She dismissed the notion that mere slogans or assurances could sway voters in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, asserting that actions speak louder than words.

Expressing apprehension over the reliability of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), Mayawati voiced concerns about the integrity of the electoral process. She called for free and fair elections, warning that the BJP’s victory would not be easily secured if tampering with EVMs were to occur.

Accusing the BJP of prioritizing the interests of capitalists over those of the common people, Mayawati criticized the party’s economic policies, alleging that they have exacerbated the plight of farmers and jeopardized national security. She lambasted the BJP-led government for neglecting the welfare of marginalized communities, including Dalits, tribals, and religious minorities.

Drawing attention to longstanding grievances, Mayawati highlighted the failure of successive governments to address the issue of vacant government posts reserved for Dalits, tribals, and OBCs. She lamented the dire socio-economic conditions facing these communities, citing the findings of the 2006 Sachar Committee report.

In a bid to galvanize voters, Mayawati urged them to reject the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the I.N.D.I.A bloc, cautioning against the perils of their continued governance. She called upon voters to disregard opinion polls, surveys, and manifestos, urging them to make an informed decision based on the track record of the ruling and non-BSP opposition parties.

Further underscoring the historical injustices faced by her party, Mayawati criticized the Congress for its neglect of social reformers such as Babasaheb Ambedkar and the BSP’s founder, Kanshi Ram. She exhorted voters to remember these injustices and to vote conscientiously in the upcoming elections.

In conclusion, Mayawati’s address resonated with a message of accountability, social justice, and empowerment, urging voters to reject the politics of rhetoric and to demand genuine change from their elected representatives.
