Pre-Investment Summit – Jaipur to Play a Key Role in Rising Rajasthan – MoUs Signed by the Association of Garment Exporters

Jaipur : Jaipur district will play a key role in the Rising Rajasthan initiative. The district-level investors’ meet for Jaipur, Jaipur Rural, and Dudu districts will be held on November 8, 2024, at the Rajasthan International Center, Jaipur. Entrepreneurs from across the district are being contacted for the successful organization of the meet. As part of these efforts, discussions regarding investment in Jaipur were held with members and office bearers of the Association of Garment Exporters, Sitapura, on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at the Sitapura Industrial Area.

The meeting, chaired by Additional District Magistrate Mrs. Kuntal Bishnoi, saw garment exporters and businesspeople sign investment agreements worth over ₹1,000 crore. The meeting was attended by over 30 entrepreneurs, including Association President Mr. Arif Kagzi, Vice President Mr. Dinesh Gupta, General Secretary Mr. Monu Karanani, Founder Mr. Dalpat Lodha, and Mr. Rajeev Diwan.

In the meeting, MoUs for investments worth ₹1,000 crore were signed by the members of the Association in the presence of the Additional District Magistrate, officials from the District Industries Center, and RIICO, with a focus on setting up units in the new industrial area proposed by RIICO near Chaksu.

Following land allocation, it is proposed that the units be established within two years, providing employment to approximately 10,000 individuals and generating around ₹700 crore in investments. Additionally, a MoU worth ₹300 crore was signed for the private industrial area, Internal Green Park, which is being developed independently by the entrepreneurs. In total, MoUs for investments amounting to ₹1,000 crore were signed during the meeting.

During the meeting, the organization shared that around 300 garment units are currently operating in the Sitapura Industrial Area, of which 175 are members of the Association, collectively conducting business worth approximately ₹1,500 crore annually. This activity provides direct and indirect employment to around 200,000 people. The established units export products worth approximately ₹500 crore. Mrs. Shilpi R. Purohit, General Manager of the District Industries and Commerce Center, Jaipur (City), advised the entrepreneurs to take advantage of various government schemes available.
