Transport Secretary Conducts Surprise Inspection at RTO Jaipur First, Jhalana Doongri, Reviews Public Services
Jaipur : On Thursday at 9:20 AM, Transport Secretary Mrs. Suchi Tyagi conducted a surprise inspection of the Regional Transport Office (RTO) Jaipur First, located at Jhalana Doongri. During the inspection, she visited various branches including the taxi section, non-transport section, license creation, and learning license section. She personally reviewed the processes at each service window related to public tasks, such as vehicle registration, renewal of registration, transfer of ownership, license hall operations, and learning license issuance.
Mrs. Tyagi arrived at the Jhalana Doongri RTO First Office just before the official office hours. She closely examined all sections associated with public services. In the taxi category section, she reviewed the registration of commercial vehicles, related files, and records. She also scrutinized the files concerning the registration process for vehicles coming from other states into Rajasthan, interacting with officers and staff. She expressed satisfaction with the reduction in file pendency.
Similarly, the Transport Secretary inspected the registration and renewal processes for two-wheelers and four-wheelers at each window in the non-transport branch. She instructed staff to resolve issues occurring on the online portal.
Mrs. Tyagi also reviewed the procedures for issuing learning licenses and renewing existing licenses, gaining hands-on experience. She noted that only 5% of learning license applications are offline, with 95% being processed online.
The Transport Secretary stated that seven different departmental services are now available facelessly, meaning they can be completed online without visiting the office. She emphasized the need to inform the public about these services and display this information in the office to reduce unnecessary visits. She also instructed staff to complete public tasks within the specified time frame.
She highlighted that ensuring transparency in operations and directly serving the public without middlemen is a top priority. Efforts will be made to complete tasks in a single visit, and public suggestions will be welcomed to improve services.
RTO Jaipur First, Mr. Rajendra Singh Shekhawat, and other officials and employees were present during the inspection.
