Education Minister’s Public Hearing in Kota—Villagers Complain of Low Voltage, Minister Orders Resolution Within a Day
Jaipur : Education and Panchayati Raj Minister Shri Madan Dilawar’s “Government at Your Doorstep” public grievance camps in his Ramganjmandi constituency are emerging as a platform for swift problem resolution.
During the public grievance camp held in Zulmi village on Saturday, villagers informed the Education Minister about issues with low voltage electricity, causing significant problems. The minister directed the Electricity Department’s Executive Engineer Vishnu Dutt to resolve the issue by Sunday.
In another case, a widow named Guddi Bai from Zulmi complained about being charged ₹3,000 for an electricity connection by a man named Rakesh, but she still hadn’t received the connection nor a refund. The minister instructed strict action against the individual.
After summoning the Electricity Department officials and investigating, it was found that Rakesh was not affiliated with the department. The minister then ordered the police to bring Rakesh to the camp, where he admitted to taking money for processing the connection file, returning ₹1,800 while keeping ₹1,200 for expenses. The minister declared that Guddi Bai, being a widow, would receive the connection free of charge and instructed Rakesh to return the remaining amount. He also expressed dissatisfaction with the presence of intermediaries in the connection process and directed the police to take appropriate action against Rakesh.
