776 Complaints Received on C-Vigil App for Code of Conduct Violations; 773 ResolvedProperty Worth 31.16 Crore Rupees Seized
Mumbai : The Model Code of Conduct for the 2024 State Assembly General Elections has been in effect since October 15, 2024. Between October 15 and October 21, a total of 776 complaints were received across the state through the C-Vigil app, out of which 773 have been resolved by the Election Commission, amounting to a resolution rate of 99%, as informed by the State’s Additional Chief Electoral Officer, Dr. Kiran Kulkarni.

The C-Vigil app, which can be downloaded from any app store, helps vigilant citizens in ensuring adherence to the code of conduct. Through this app, citizens can file complaints about violations of the code. After a complaint is filed, the concerned teams investigate and take appropriate action.
Actions carried out by various state and central government enforcement agencies have resulted in the seizure of illegal cash, liquor, drugs, and valuable metals, with a total value of 31.16 crore rupees. Dr. Kulkarni further stated that the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct is being effectively enforced throughout the state.
