Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai inaugurated Sri Satya Sai Nursing College in Naya Raipur
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today inaugurated the Sri Sathya Sai Nursing College in the premises of Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital located at Atal Nagar, Nava Raipur. Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh and Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal were also present on this occasion. During the program, the newly admitted students of B.Sc. Nursing were administered the oath in the lamp lighting program, in which they were made to pledge to remain committed to the service of humanity and duty.
Chief Minister Shri Sai, while praising the contribution of Shri Satya Sai Trust, said that this hospital has been built on the land of Mata Kaushalya and in the maternal home of Lord Ram with the blessings of Satya Sai Baba. Its purpose is to serve humanity. He said that complex heart operations of more than 33 thousand children suffering from congenital heart disease have been done free of cost in the hospital, health check-up of more than three lakh children was done in OPD. Due to which Chhattisgarh has gained recognition in the country and abroad. He honored the specialist doctors of the hospital with Dhanvantri Award for this achievement. Praising Sanjeevani Hospital, the Chief Minister said that there is no cash counter in this hospital, people return happily after getting free treatment. People do not come here with purses.
The Chief Minister said that this hospital was inaugurated on February 21, his birthday, and on this occasion he received direct blessings from Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Satya Sai Trust will now also provide free education, accommodation and food facilities to nursing students.
Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said that during his tenure as Chief Minister, I have been a direct witness to the foundation stone laying and construction of the hospital, this is an emotional moment for me. Due to the commitment of Satya Sai Trust, the construction of the hospital was completed within a year. A large number of people from the country as well as abroad come to get treatment for children’s congenital heart disease.
Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal also praised Satya Sai Trust and called it an institution dedicated to the service of humanity. He said that with the opening of the nursing college, the girl students will get free accommodation and food.
In the program, Chairman of Sathya Sai Sanjivani Trust, Shri C. Srinivas highlighted the services of free treatment of heart diseases of newborn children and discussed the future objectives of the trust. As part of the ‘Navjeevan Uphaar’ program organized daily at Sathya Sai Sanjivani Hospital, five children who have become completely healthy today were given gifts and best wishes by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and they were discharged from the hospital.
During this program, it was told that after the death of Shri Prakhar Sahu, a child of Korba district, in an accident, his body was donated by his parents. The heart valve of this child was implanted in a child, which gave the child a new life. This child has become completely healthy. This child was discharged from the hospital today. The Chief Minister felicitated Prakhar’s parents and praised their humanitarian initiative and called it inspirational for the society. The Chief Minister congratulated the recovered children and their families and congratulated the team of Sanjeevani Hospital for this wonderful service.
On this occasion, newly admitted nursing students, their parents, medical and paramedical staff of the hospital, and members of the management committee were present.
