‘Suvidha 2.0’ Mobile App for Candidates and Parties to Obtain Election Permits Online

Mumbai : The Election Commission of India (ECI) has updated its mobile app ‘Suvidha 2.0’, enabling candidates and parties to easily obtain election campaign permits from any location using an online facility. Previously, applications could only be submitted through the online portal, but with the new app, all processes can now be completed via mobile phones, according to the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer.

Suvidha 2.0 is user-friendly and more secure. Key features of the app include the ability for candidates to download the application form, request campaign permissions, check the current status of their permission requests, and download approval copies. The app will also include the nomination process, election schedule, and the latest instructions and orders from the Election Commission.
