Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi virtually laid the foundation stone of Central Research Institute of Yoga and Naturopathy (CRIYN) Raipur
Prime Minister of the country Shri Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of 100-bed Central Research Institute of Yoga and Naturopathy (CRIYN) to be built in Raipur through virtual medium on National Ayurveda Day. Prime Minister Shri Modi was connected to Raipur through virtual medium from All India Institute of Ayurveda, New Delhi. Shri Modi said that the more healthy the people of the country are, the faster the progress of the country will be. People from all over the world come to India for yoga and panchkarma and their number will increase in the coming time. He said that the Government of India is working with sensitivity in the field of health.
Central Research Institute of Yoga and Naturopathy Raipur is being established under Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy (CCRYN). The construction of this institute will be completed in 24 months at a cost of Rs 90 crore. The state government has provided 10 acres of land to the department for this institute. This will be Chhattisgarh’s first yoga and naturopathy research center and hospital which will provide treatment facilities for non-communicable diseases like obesity, prediabetes, metabolic syndrome, and arthritis etc.
The research centre will have outpatient and administrative blocks, inpatient blocks, staff quarters, yoga hall, diet centre, massage and physiotherapy sections as well as research blocks. This centre will conduct training certification courses in spa and wellness therapy and fellowship courses in research. The
centre will also conduct training certification courses in wellness therapy and fellowship courses in research. The opening of this institute will develop new knowledge about the effects of yoga and naturopathy.
On this occasion, Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal said in his address that India is constantly moving forward by preserving its old methods. Shri Jaiswal said that today on the occasion of Dhanteras, the gift that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has given to the state in the form of Central Yoga and Naturopathy Research Institute will be remembered by us and our future generations. He said that after the establishment of this research centre, self-employment opportunities will be available to the youth of the state. The youth will become capable by getting training from here and will promote self-employment. He said that India has always been a leader in yoga and Ayurveda and the opening of such research centers will further promote this tradition. He said that Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai is continuously working for the all-round development of Chhattisgarh. Expansion of health facilities in the state is among the priorities of the Chief Minister.
During the program organized at DDU Auditorium in Raipur, MP Shri Brijmohan Agarwal, MLA Shri Purandar Mishra, MLA Shri Khuswant Saheb, MLA Shri Moti Lal Sahu, officials of AYUSH Department and students of Ayurveda College were present.
