Lord Krishna Conveyed the Message of Connecting with Nature by Holding Govardhan Mountain: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, on Saturday visited the residence of former minister Shri Jaibhan Singh Pawaiya in Bhagat Singh Nagar, Gwalior to participate in the collective Govardhan Puja. He emphasized the cultural importance of cow worship and Govardhan Puja, noting that Lord Krishna conveyed the message of connecting with nature through the act of lifting Govardhan Mountain. Dr. Yadav stated that the state government is committed to advancing cow conservation with this same spirit.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav highlighted that India has a rich tradition of celebrating festivals, with Govardhan Puja holding special significance. He emphasized the importance of cow conservation for strengthening the economy and urged farmers to engage in the dairy business through cow rearing, assuring them of government subsidies. On this occasion, Dr. Yadav extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to everyone celebrating Govardhan Puja.
For the past 10 years, former minister Shri Jaibhan Singh Pawaiya has been organizing a mass Govardhan Puja. On the eleventh year of this celebration, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav visited his residence to take part in the rituals. The Chief Minister performed Govardhan Puja, offered aarti, and prayed for the prosperity and well-being of the state.
On this occasion, Social Justice and Horticulture Minister Shri Narayan Singh Kushwaha, Energy Minister Shri Pradyuman Singh Tomar, MP Shri Bharat Singh Kushwaha, former MP Shri Vivek Narayan Shejwalkar, and Municipal Corporation Chairman Shri Manoj Tomar were present, along with various public representatives and officials.
