Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Arrives in Sydney — “Rajasthan: A Land of Rich Heritage and Traditions” – Shri Devanani
Jaipur : Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Shri Vasudev Devanani arrived in Sydney, Australia, on Tuesday as part of a four-country visit. Upon arrival, Shri Devanani was warmly welcomed by officials. He participated in the delegate briefing of the 67th Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) Conference for the India region held in Sydney. During the conference, he met with Assembly Speakers and Members of Parliament from various Indian states, including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.
On this occasion, Shri Devanani highlighted Rajasthan’s distinct identity, rooted in its rich heritage, traditions, and natural beauty. He noted that the palaces of Jaipur, the lakes of Udaipur, and the majestic forts of Jodhpur, Bikaner, and Jaisalmer are popular destinations for both domestic and international tourists, attracting thousands daily.
Throughout this study tour, Shri Devanani will observe legislative bodies in various countries and engage in discussions with parliamentary representatives on strengthening democratic values. The annual CPA conference brings together Assembly Speakers from different states to discuss democratic issues on a shared platform. This year’s conference, the 67th CPA event, is being held in Australia from November 5 to 8. Accompanying Speaker Shri Devanani is the Special Secretary of the Assembly, Shri Bharat Bhushan Sharma.
