Health Minister chairs Cabinet sub-committee meeting
Health Minister Dr. (Col.) Dhani Ram Shandil here today chaired the first meeting of the Cabinet sub-committee tasked with providing recommendations to strengthen the Rogi Kalyan Samitis. Members of the sub-committee Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani and Ayush Minister Yadvinder Goma attended the meeting.
The Health Minister stated the state government was committed to strengthen the healthcare services in the state. “In order to achieve this, the state government was strengthening healthcare institutions, recruiting doctors and para-medical staff, and taking steps to strengthen Rogi Kalyan Samitis as they play an important role in ensuring quality healthcare services,” said the Minister.
A presentation regarding Rogi Kalyan Samitis was made before the committee and steps to strengthen the Samitis were discussed among the members.
